Mina Isabel Shahriary
As a lifelong student of yoga, herbalism and other wisdom traditions, I have a deep reverence for the intelligence found in nature—and in the human body. I believe we can awaken immense wisdom and power through observation of our inner experience and connection with the rhythms and cycles of body, earth and sky.
I found my way into my first yoga class in 2006 and immediately fell in love with the graceful, meditative movement of vinyasa flow. As I began studying the philosophy underpinning the practice, I discovered a map for self-inquiry and healing. As I became more consistent in my practice, I found the clarity and inspiration to begin sharing yoga in public classes in 2014.
I have completed over 900 hours of formal yoga teacher training, including in-depth study of therapeutics, classical Tantra, Ayurveda and perinatal yoga, and hold the Yoga Alliance designations of RYT-500/E-RYT-200, RPYT and YACEP.
Infinite gratitude to all my teachers, including Anjali Sunita, Vivian Campagna, Amy Ippoliti and Lily Dwyer-Begg, and to all the wisdom-keepers of the ancient teachings of yoga, nature-based healing, and the great cycles of life, death and rebirth.
